Beware! India likely to face recession again

The Indian currency rupee has broken down completely. Today (May 23, 2012), it sunk to 56.18 against dollar. While the RBI looks hopeless, the Centre looks unperturbed as the people like Montek Singh Ahuluwalia unabashedly says that the nation’s growth rate will be healthy despite existing circumstances.

The moment you will ask him how it will happen, he will disappear. Oh! I understand that we are not supposed to ask tricky questions to the people holding important posts in the government as it might insult them (or bewilder them???). But everyone is vanishing after making big claims about country’s growth in the Centre. Be it a prime minister Manmohan Singh, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee or whomsoever you name.

Dear PM, FM and vice chairman of the Planning Commission, if you are really expert in your field then why we are facing this situation? The rupee should not have been as low as it is now. The time the rupee crossed the 50 mark against dollar, you three should have rung the alarm bell and taken measures to check its further decline. You should also have had alternative measures to quickly replace the failed formulae.

But you didn’t do this because you know you are in power and the public is powerless. That is why when the people like Anna Hazare and others speak of corruption, you people in the power smile and say – ‘there is nothing to be worried, these activists will soon get tired’.

We know you all are politicians, especially Mr PM – you have really graduated yourself as a seasoned politician, congratulations for your progress, but certainly you don’t have right to impose your government’s eccentric ideas on the nation to aggravate its economical condition.

First the price rise, then hike in fuel rates and now all-time low rupee rate against dollar. What else? Are you going to pull the soul from the common man? The country, which was said to be growing at faster pace, much more than China of course and was expected to surpass the USA economy in 2050, is cringing before dollar power right now. The rupee is equally fearful before pound, euro, dinar, dirham and many other currencies of different countries.

Now what? Will you take any step in coming days to improve rupee condition or the country’s downslide is a portent of another recession? If it is true then the people will stop encouraging their children to pursue higher studies in economics or the specific subjects which the people like you have studied and boasted to change the fate of India.

Why don’t you guys simply pack up and leave. Let the others come and assess what they can do for the country. After all, you politicians will enjoy the power only when there would be adequate money in the exchequer, isn’t it?

Individual or content

There are section of people who feel that Amir is simply making money by raising sensitive issues in Satyamev Jayate.

Is that so? Then what were these guys doing all the years? Why didn't they tried the bigger shoe which Amir is wearing now?

Boy!! Why create fuss? Forget what Amir is and just see the content if you like it.

The TV serial-cum-eye opener program in which Amir is working is actually intended to convey wider message to a larger population than to target any specific society.

If anyone thinks he can take initiative to combat social evils then let him do it. Even if he is making huge money through such programs, his efforts will always be meaningful.

Don't get too much inspired by the individual but rather take inspiration from the message. The people-oriented show can be done by every person. It is only a matter of opportunity. If you have gut, who is stopping you????????

politically schemed

Centre's every fourth scheme is named after Rajeev Gandhi. About 80% of the Centre's schemes are named after Rajeev Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Why? Are there only three patriots (!!!!!???) in the country. what happened to the others who are said to have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country? Don't they deserve even one scheme after them?

Forget all the great leaders. Why on earth we need to name any public welfare scheme on the name of any politician? why can't the scheme be only scheme - just an informative one so that the people could recognize it immediately?

Already, there is trend to names the streets, roads and other public places on the names of great leaders, famous people and what not. so, there is not need make the names of public welfare so complicated.

Enough is enough. why we should remember any politician? If there is really any great leader who has served the nation, then their names and stories should be included in the school courses. There are many more mediums through which the great leaders could be remembered.

Behind naxalism..

We all know that Prashant Bhushan has refused Maoists to mediate for them into Sukma (Chhattisgarh) Collector Alex Paul Menon's abduction case. Now, if Bhushan has the gut to refuse Maoists then he also has gumption to urge them to release the Collector unconditionally.

Bhushan is not the lone white-collared naxal sympathizer but there are many more like Medha Patkar, Arundhati Roy, swami Agnivesh, Dr Binayak Sen, Narayan Sanyal, Piyush Guha, and so on. And all these people are well capable of pressurizing/urging (even ordering!!) the Maoists to release the Collector.

It is surprising that the government (be it state or union government) don’t take action against them because they spew venom against the society and protect naxals on the name of right to expression which is allowable in democracy.

These people have actually taken birth on earth to safeguard human rights. While Lord Shiva can end the universe just by opening his third eye, these people pose themselves as mightier than him and claim to have several eyes to catch even the minutest fault of the government/society. Ironically, they always find faults in the system/society but not in the extremists (Maoists, terrorists and all other ists..).

But aren’t these people infracting all laws of democratic system by running a hidden movement for Maoists in urban areas? Rather, the naxals in jungles are less dangerous than their sympathizers in cities. To prove themselves as the superhuman, they have extended their activities from having links with Anna movement to environmental drives and so on.

Unfortunately, these people move freely and mock the democracy everyday but there is none to bell these cats. While Centre says naxalism is the matter of states, the latter call it a national problem and the ball continues to fly from one court to the other.
